Visual design and broadcast spots created for the Chicago Fire Soccer teams 2014/2015 season. The work was inspired by the idea of seeding a movement throughout the neighborhoods of Chicago by any means necessary. This gave rise to the use of a wheat paste campaign that borrowed a visual style from early punk poster styles. The broadcast campaign utilized hand cut typography and cell animation to give the action a raw quality. Footage rendering was achieved through xeroxing still images multiple times to deteriorate the footage, and then piecing them back together.
Print collateral blanketed the city during the beginning of the campaign and became visual fodder for the DIY signs, flags and clothing of the hard-core Fire fanbase. The live broadcast was seen nationally during the season.
