No species in history has had the impact that we have had upon the earth. In the blink of an eye humankind has altered the planet beyond repair. We have invented compounds that will outdate our species by hundreds of thousands of years. We have altered the carbon and nitrogen cycles so drastically that it will have a lasting physical effect on the literal shape of our land. The power that we wield over the natural order often outpaces our ability to comprehend the effects of our actions. The New Heroes 4 investigates the establishment of our dominion over nature and the resulting spiritual shift in our society through interviews with artists exploring the symbiotic but destructive relationship we have with our planet.
