Reservoirs Films is a production and film company based in New York City. The company specializes in crafting compelling stories for non profit organizations across the country. It was important to the founders that the identity of the brand reference NYC, without using overly contrived iconography from the city. 

Typography for the wordmark was derived from early renditions of NYC subway text, giving the mark a personality that echoed the character of the city. The mark itself renders the 'R' in the style of an original subway token, and creates a symbol that represents the literal and metaphorical projection of the company's ideas.
